Upcoming elections to register no good result: Davit Shahnazaryan

These elections will not register any good result, Republican party candidate Davit Shahnazaryan told the reporters today.

“These elections will not result in establishment of domestic political stability in the country. It will just show the public, political moods as of the moment, in one, three months the picture will be rather different,” he said.

Shahnazaryan stressed that the Republicans have done two important steps for the sake of the state. “The ruling authorities are claiming to have reached peaceful, velvet revolution, it was so, but it was so by the decision of the former authorities,” Shahnazaryan said, adding that it is respectable step by the Republicans.

“If they were thinking that the authorities were so weak that could not use force, they were mistaken,” he claimed.

Shahnazaryan said he met with one of the leaders of the party to discuss participation in the elections. “He said if we do participate in the elections their legitimacy will be doubtful while today it is very dangerous to have doubtful elections in Armenia,” Shahnazaryan said.
