Ex chairman of Armenia’s Customs Committee donates his Golden Palace hotel in Tsakhkadzor to state: Nikol Pashinyan
Former chairman of Armenia’s Customs Committee Armen Avetisyan donates his Golden Palace hotel in Tsakhkadzor to the state, acting Prime Minister, leader of My Step bloc Nikol Pashinyan stated during the campaign in Ijevan today.
“In one of his interviews Robert Kocharyan asked, “what has Armen Avetisyan done, for example?”. It was spoken about the former chairman of the Customs Committee. After it, the NSS has published a video of opening ceremony of Yerevan Golden Palace hotel which took place either in 2004 or 2006. It was presented as a foreign investment from Cyprus while in reality they took the corrupted money earned in Armenia, circulated in Cyprus and brought here to build a hotel. In the video Robert Kocharyan stated that Armenia developed as much that investors from Cyprus are coming here,” Nikol Pashinyan stated.
“I am being informed that days ago Armen Avetisyan’s family has applied to the State Property Governance Administration and stated that he donates Tsakhkadzor’s Golden Palace hotel to the state. There is a criminal case but more probably they are expecting certain public approach or want to make use of the transition justice tool that is why they have made such step,” Pashinyan said, adding that the hotel will be put for public auction.
“It is being evaluated $10-15 and even $20 million. This money will enter the state budget,” the acting PM summed up.
