Former Ombudsman refuses answer questions relating Kocharyan’s presidency period
Ex Human Rights Defender Armen Harutyunyan who worked in the post during second president Robert Kocharyan’s presidency refused to answer the questions relating to March 1 developments.
Currently Harutyunyan is a judge in the European Court of Human Rights representing Armenia and is not participating in the examination of cases relating to Kocharyan’s presidency period.
While being asked about them, Harutyunyan said, “Do not give me such questions, they may be used against me.”
Among the application filed to the ECHR relating to Kocharyan’s presidency period was the application of residents of Buzand street who were evicted from their homes after the territory was declared of being of public prior significance, families of March 1 2008 victims and political figures.
