Armenian-Russian relations based on mutual trust: Zatulin
Moscow follows the electoral fight among the political forces before the snap parliamentary elections in Armenia but is not going to interfere anyway, first deputy chairman of the committee of the State Duma for the CIS and European integration affairs Konstantin Zatulin told the reporters in Yerevan today.
“We do not comment on the electoral fight, we do not want to create basis for anyone to say “you have interfered that is why we have lost or we have won.” So, I do not want to say who we like and who we do not,” he said, adding that he respects Armenia as a country, as an ally.
He stressed that first of all Russia wishes Armenia domestic stability and its people blossoming as a result of their political choice.
Referring to the Armenian-Russian relations after the elections, Zatulin voiced hope that they will continue developing with the wish of the both sides.
He stressed that now is a very crucial moment as the relations have been put on the basis of mutual trust.
“Trust is being achieved in long period of time and it is being reached when words and actions coincide. When we hear good words we are happy but then we follow whether these words correspond to the undertaken actions or not. If they do, everything is all right,” Zatulin said.
