Armenia’s acting PM believes representatives of some political forces choose state betrayal path, calls NSS deal with them
The representatives of some political forces state in a day that the acting government is organizing a plot against Artsakh, acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a campaign in Goris.
“I am always thinking what makes the people do such untrue statements. People make statements knowing that they are lying,” Pashinyan said in Goris.
He also referred to the statement of ARF Bureau representative Hrant Margaryan, who said that during the past six months Armenia has not acquired any ammunition. The acting PM described the statement as a lie and a wrong statement the meaning of which he does not understand.
“I have one explanation. These political forces have understood that their political death is approaching and feeling the upcoming political death they have decided to provoke a war with their statements and solve their narrow group, personal interests,” he said.
“It is a very serious hypothesis as I really do not find any other explanation. All this is out of any logic of political discussions. I am sure that the National Security Service and Military Counterespionage must deal with these statements as certain people have obviously chosen a state betrayal path, and I am not afraid of stating about it,” he said, adding that the government and the people have enough levers to eradicate the destructive actions attempted by certain forces.
The acting PM also expressed hope that the people of Artsakh will not allow creation of impression as if there are some contradictions between Armenia and Artsakh.
“Our people today are united more than ever,” Pashinyan said.
Republican party candidate Davit Shahnazaryan and ARF-D candidate Armen Rustamyan were among those who expressed concerns over new government’s policy of Artsakh conflict settlement.
