Process with lawmaker not aimed at ensuring votes for ruling force
The Republican party has again displayed its attitude by not attending the NA session which was to discuss petition on starting criminal procedure against Republican party lawmaker Aram Harutyunyan, Yelk faction MP Alen Simonyan told the reporters today.
“As an MP I am here and ready to implement my duty,” he said.
Asked about the possibility to wait until the new parliament was formed, Simonyan said, it would mean doing something artificially. “Normal process of law is being ensured. The Prime Minister has many times stated about the situation with a lawmaker,” he said.
Speaking about the criticism of the ARF-D and their statements that all this is being done during campaign on purpose, Simonyan said, “This is not the kind of process to help us get more votes.”
