Yelk faction MP convinced Republican party not to be represented in new parliament
The Republican party will not be represented in the new parliament, Yelk faction MP Alen Simonyan told the reporters today.
“I am convinced that the Armenian citizen will not commit such mistake anymore,” Simonyan said.
Asked about Republican party’s criticism that instead of presenting program My Step bloc throughout the whole campaign has targeted the Republican party, Simonyan said, “It is normal and logical. They ruled the country for 25 years and their policy is being criticized. I am sure after the elections the criticism addressed to them will be less as the Republican party will not be in the new NA,” he said.
Referring to the statement of the NA vice speaker Eduard Sharmazanov that Pashinyan started new series of arrests after losing the CSTO secretary general post, Simonyan urged the vice speaker to stay correct. “If he continues in the same way and passes the limits of correctness he will get corresponding response from me personally. I urge him to stay correct and change his style while speaking about the Prime Minister,” Simonyan said.
