Rule of Law party offers mandatory one-year service against current two

Rule of Law party president Artur Baghdasaryan was in the town of Berd as part of the election campaign.

Speaking about the possibilities provided by the revolution, Artur Baghdasaryan said it is a good opportunity for developing the country, offering new solutions to the existing issues.

Baghdasaryan particularly attached significance to the technical upgrading of the borders and passage to one-year mandatory army service and gradual passage to professional army.

“We offer one-year service against the current two like it is in Russia. We also offer to gradually pass to professional army and exclude the possibility of 18-year old standing on border,” he said.

Speaking about the issue of enlargement of communities Baghdasaryan said that it is possible only in case of consent of the community residents.
