Republican party candidate Davit Shahnazaryan invited to NSS
Republican party candidate Davit Shahnazaryan has been invited to the National Security Service on December 5 to give explanations and present necessary materials regarding his statements voiced during press conferences on November 27 and December 4.
Shahnazaryan’s statements voiced during the both conferences about political program carried out by Pashinyan and particularly “power against Artsakh” contains state betrayal accusations against acting PM Nikol Pashinyan, the statement released by the NSS says.
Speaking at a news conference on December 4, Shahnazaryan said, “I have not presented all the facts I possess for proving the anti-Artsakh policy of the ruling regime. There are still a lot of things.”
Considering the circumstance that according to Armenia’s national security strategy Armenia is the guarantor of security of Artsakh and its people, the statements voiced by Shahnazaryan on November 27 and December 4 possess possible elements of state betrayal.
The statement has been viewed as a report about specifically grave crime which is being discussed in the NSS department on maintenance of constitutional order and fight against terrorism. Currently it is being checked whether there is enough legality and grounds for filing criminal case.
The NSS also urged all the citizens who have information about the possible circumstances reported by Davit Shahnazaryan to come to NSS.
