Republican party candidate Davit Shahnazaryan states about political persecution against him
Republican party candidate, N3 in the party's list Davit Shahnazaryan was going to visit the National Security Service until the law enforcement body released a statement relating to him, Shahnazaryan said at a news conference today.
He said he received a writ from the NSS to come to the establishment today at 10 a.m., while he signed and wrote that he would be there at 1 p.m.
“I was going to the NSS but after they released a statement, I considered it a senseless waste of time,” he said, describing the process as a political persecution against him.
“I was going to say that I consider all this a political persecution the instruction of which has been given by the acting PM who is currently on holiday and after it just leave the place,” he noted.
Shahnazaryan also stressed that he decided to go to NSS because he headed the establishment and has never given any negative assessment to it for 23 years.
He said today there are no law enforcement bodies in Armenia but just punitive institutions who have nothing to do with the state and are defending only Pashinyan’s interests.
