Pashinyan to demand explanations from Lukashenko at upcoming meeting
Armenian acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is planning to talk with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko about the discussion of the CSTO secretary general appointment issue with the ambassador of non-member state of the establishment Azerbaijan.
Asked whether he is planning to demand explanations from Lukashenko during the upcoming meeting, or will wait for the discussion of the issue, Pashinyan said, “Of course we should speak about our issues, we should not postpone them.”
At the meeting with Azerbaijani ambassador in Minsk, Lukashenko said they are ready to nominate three candidates for the post of the CSTO secretary general. He also said no one wants to violate Armenia’s rights.
“Pashinyan is to deal with the situation in the government. Armenia heads EAEU, CSTO which is a very heavy burden for a country being in transition period,” Lukashenko told the ambassador.
