Job cuts expected in High Voltage Electricity Networks company: Acting Minister
Some 150-160 jobs have been cut in the High Voltage Electricity Networks company, acting energy infrastructures and natural resources minister Garegin Baghramyan told the reporters today.
“Job cuts, structural changes are peculiar to every companies. Currently intensive works are ongoing in High Voltage Electricity Networks company. New director has already been selected and soon the staff list will be presented,” he said, adding that 150-160 employees will not work anymore. He said they were not engaged in main activities of the company.
The acting minister said that besides registered staff employees there are 90 freelancers. “It is not clear why 90 freelancers are being kept in case when there are staff employees,” he said.
Baghramyan also added that as a result of staff optimization those not dealing with the main activities of the company will not work anymore.
