Apartment issues of 542 stakeholder families expected to be solved by 2020: Chairman of the State Urban Committee
About 5,381 families in Armenia’s Shirak, Lori and Aragatsotn provinces have been recognized stakeholders in the sidelines of the apartment provision program carried out for the solution of the apartment issues of families which remained homeless as a result of disastrous earthquake in Armenia.
The apartment issue of 4,839 families of the mentioned 5,381 [90% of stakeholders] has been solved during 2008-2017 on the account of provided 65 billion AMD, chairman of the State Urban Committee Avetik Eloyan said at the outgoing cabinet sitting in Gyumri today.
He said according to the government’s 2018-2022 action plan program by the end of 2020 it is expected to solve the issue of the rest 542 families.
He said it is also expected to solve the issues of 44 families in rural areas of Lori with the 460 million AMD provided by the 2018 state budget. In particular to help them complete the semi-built houses.
"A corresponding decision has been made at the November 22 cabinet sitting according to which the construction works of the semi-built houses are intended to start in March 2019 and complete by December 1," he said.
Eloyan said there will be necessary to settle the apartment issues of 498 families for which 3.5 billion AMD will be necessary.
