During the day their 70-member team will observe elections in all the electoral district of Armenia.
She presented an electronic pen and said that all the observations and remarks of team members are being done via the pen after which all the observers of the team are getting informed about it.
“We are receiving observations of our team members from early in the morning from all the electoral districts,” Gacek said.
Asked to assess the pace of elections after the velvet revolution, Gacek said that naturally there is a special atmosphere during today’s elections but their team must be maximum unbiased, independent.
“We have not expressed any preference and cannot do it. We are fully independent and we are here to observe the elections, to be sure that the election process passes in accordance with international standards,” she said.
Gacek noted that each election has its peculiar side and reminded that the organization has published a mid-term report where they fixed their main observations.
