New NA and government to work in high responsibility domain: Armenia’s President

The December 9 parliamentary elections in Armenia are already a reality the outcome of which is formation of legislative and executive branches of the power, Armenia’s President Armen Sarkissian stated in a released statement.

“I congratulate My Step bloc, Prosperous Armenia and Bright Armenia parties who by passing the threshold set by the law will form the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia,” he said, at the same time expressing gratitude to all the other participating forces and citizens who expressed their will over the future of the country.

“This voting is the first serious national political process that took place in the country after big changes that happened in spring. The newly elected National Assembly and the government will work in the high responsibility domain. I wish them persistence and enthusiasm on the way to implementation of their programs,” he said in the statement, adding that the homeland is becoming power with the hard work of each of its citizens.

“The duty of each of us is to contribute our efforts for the sake of our country and people, for the sake of strong Armenia and Artsakh republics, for the sake of all Armenians. God bless our country and people,” the statement concluded.
