Republican party’s failure to pass to parliament normal: YPC chairman
It is difficult to say that there will be serious political battle in the new parliament, Yerevan Press Club chairman Boris Navasardyan told the reporters today.
“I do not agree with the claims that there is no opposition today. Where is opposition? For opposition to be in the parliament it should be in general political field as well. We do not have such thing and Republican party’s ambitions to become such a strong opposition were not grounded,” he said.
Navasardyan stressed that the Republican party does not have serious social back that can lead them to the parliament.
“They have people, some resources and it is a chance to return to the political field and have a big role there. This time it was quite normal that they did not manage to overcome the threshold,” he said.
