3d president’s nephew Narek Sargsyan to face court: NSS director
Nephew of Armenia’s 3d president Serzh Sargsyan, Narek Sargsyan, who was discovered in Prague with the passport of Franklin Gonzales, citizen of Guatemala, on December 6 will face the court, NSS director Artur Vanetsyan told the reporters at the workshop in Tsakhkadzor.
“The investigation revealed all the circumstances of Narek Sargsyan’s case. Expertise showed that the drawings really belonged to Saryan,” Vanetsyan said.
He also noted that he does not know how Narek Sargsyan received passport of Guatemala citizen, nevertheless, he has been found.
“The extradition issue will soon be solved and he will face the court,” he said.
As to the case against his father, Alexander Sargsyan, Vanetsyan said that he is charged with money laundering, investigation is underway.
Earlier NSS has reported that as a result of search at Narek Sargsyan’s house the NSS officials found big amount of drugs and arms. Besides he is charged with taking 14 drawings worth $280,000 from famous painter Martiros Saryan’s heir, promising to pay $28,000 and with the rest sum open a joint casino and sponsor its activity.
