Bio labs belong to Armenia and are of civil nature: Armenian MFA spokesperson
Exclusively Armenian specialists are working in the laboratories ensuring the raise of sanitary-epidemiological surveillance, spokesperson for Armenian Foreign Ministry Anna Naghdalyan told Aysor.am.
“These laboratories belong to Armenia and are of civil nature. In Armenia’s case it is not being spoken about military presence,” she stressed.
Earlier today Russia’s ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin said that Armenia and Russia are negotiating over a contract on excluding presence of foreign servicemen in Armenian bio labs.
“Discussions are being held on the activity of bio labs not only in Armenia but other countries as well. We are concerned with this issue,” he said, adding that it is necessary to ensure transparency of the activity of these laboratories and absence of foreign servicemen there.
