Armenian acting PM calls not to politicize case with involvement of Russian serviceman
Armenian acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan urged not to politicize the incident with the Russian serviceman in Armenia’s Gyumri.
The serviceman is suspected in the murder of woman, 57, early in the morning of December 3.
He said there is a huge difference between the case of the murder of Avetisyans' family in Gyumri by Permyakov and beating to death the woman recently.
“Let us first register the difference – that time we were to be sure that an in-depth, comprehensive examination was to take place and unfortunately till now, the relatives voice doubts over the complete examination of the case. In this context Permyakov’s keeping vicinity gets significance while in this case we do not have such a situation,” Pashinyan said, asked why the Russian serviceman suspected in beating woman to death in Gyumri is kept in the territory of Russian base.
“Our issue is the full investigation and revelation of the case and not in what penitentiary the concrete serviceman is being kept,” the acting PM said.
Asked about the frequent accidents registered with the involvement of the servicemen of the Russian military base, Pashinyan said that many accidents are being registered with the involvement of Russian, Armenian and foreign citizens. “The process should not be politicized unnecessarily,” Pashinyan said.
