Putin says relations between Russia and Armenia are "on even keel"
Relations between Russia and Armenia are on even keel, President of Russia Vladimir Putin stated at a big press conference today.
“Our relations with Armenia are on even keel, nothing has collapsed, nothing needs to be restored. Armenia is our strategic partner in the region and in the world. It is member of CSTO and EAEU,” Putin said, asked how Russia will restore its relations with Armenia after the elections.
“We should develop what we have. The Armenian people are the closest allies of Russian people in Caucasus. It was historically, it is so now, and I hope it will be so in future as well,” he said.
The Russian president stressed that it is necessary to stem from the realities of the situation in the world, in the region and opportunities.
“We will discuss it in nearest future with Mr Pashinyan who is paying a visit to Moscow in the coming week,” Russian president said.
