Armenia not negotiating over deployment of third country military forces in its territory
Armenia is not carrying out any negotiations over deployment of military servicemen of third countries in Armenia, spokesperson for Armenia’s Foreign Ministry Anna Naghdalyan said at a briefing today, referring to Lavrov’s statement that Armenia and Russia are completing talks over document on exclusion of deployment of foreign military forces in Armenia.
“We are talking about cooperation in sanitary-epidemiological surveillance sector which is part of our cooperation agenda with Russia. As to bio laboratories, we should reiterate that they belong to Armenia and only Armenian specialists are working there. They belong to Armenia and are of only civil nature,” Naghdalyan said, adding that as far as they are of civil nature there is no issue of military presence there.
“Armenia is not negotiating over deployment of third country militaries in its territory,” Naghdalyan said.
