CSTO secretary general appointment issue to be solved via consensus: Armenia’s acting PM’s spokesperson
The issue of appointment of CSTO secretary general must be solved via consensus, spokesperson for the acting Prime Minister of Armenia Arman Yeghoyan told Aysor.am.
“The issue is to be solved via consensus,” Yeghoyan said.
It was reported tearlier today that president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed a draft decision on appointing State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Stanislav Zas as secretary general of the CSTO, Belta news agency reports.
“The secretary has already visited Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Russia. The heads of these countries have approved the candidacy of Belarusian candidate. Alexander Lukashenko officially supports the appointment of Stanislav Zas signing the draft decision of the CSTO collective security council,” the statement says.
