Protest actions against Manvel Grigoryan’s release continue, Yerevan-Etchmiadzin road still closed
The protests against release of retired general Manvel Grigoryan on bail continue in Etchmiadzin.
The participants closed Yerevan-Etchmiadzin road. They demand re-arresting Manvel Grigoryan and depriving him of general title.
NA lawmaker Hakob Hakobyan also joined the participants.
“People are against for such person to live by their side. No one is afraid of anyone here. People of Etchmiadzin are not cowards,” Hakobyan said, adding that Manvel Grigoryan would better commit suicide by self-immolation.
Etchmiadzin mayor Diana Grigoryan has joined protesters too.
“I am not a participant of the protest action. I am standing by the side of citizens to understand what plans they have, how long they will keep the road closed. I know that Manvel Grigoryan is not in the town. He is in Aknalitch country house,” the mayor of Etchmiadzin said.
The protestants continue keeping the Yerevan-Etchmiadzin road closed.
