Armenia’s government to cut servicemen’s loan interest rates by half
The Armenian government is going to restructure the previously taken loans of few thousands of officers and subaltern officers, Armenia’s acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote in Facebook.
“The sense of the decision lies in cutting in half the loan interest rates and prolonging the service term. As a result, for instance if a serviceman pays monthly 50,000 AMD pay-off after the envisaged changes he will start paying 25,000 AMD for the same but restructured loan,” he said, adding that in near future the government will refer to the issue on assistance to servicemen in acquiring apartments.
“It will not completely solve the issue but at least the issue will move from the dead point,” Pashinyan said.
