Syria military says Israel strikes hit weapons depot
Israel has attacked sites near the Syrian capital, hitting an arms depot and injuring three soldiers, Syrian state media say.
Fighter planes fired missiles from Lebanese air space towards Qatifah, about 40km (25 miles) north-east of Damascus, the Syrian military said.
Israel has not commented, though it said it fired at a Syrian anti-aircraft missile after the reported strikes.
Israel has carried out dozens of strikes on Syria in recent years.
It says it is acting to thwart advanced weapons transfers from Iran to the Lebanese pro-Iranian Hezbollah movement and the strengthening of Iran's military presence in Syria.
Israel considers Iran and Hezbollah to pose a particularly dangerous threat.
Syria said most of the missiles which were fired on Tuesday night were intercepted.
