Serious work expected to be carried out in government: Nikol Pashinyan
A serious work is expected in the government, Armenia’s acting PM Nikol Pashinyan said at the cabinet sitting today. He added that few serious discussions have taken place, others are yet to follow.
“At the pre-electoral campaign we have promised to change the staff and cut the number of ministries. The changes are aimed not at saving money but raising the efficiency of government and state governance bodies,” he said.
“We are convinced that we are moving in a right way and we have received the mandate from the people. We will listen to all the viewpoints and make a more balanced decision,” he said.
Referring to the closing the Ministry of Diaspora, the acting PM said that the impression as if they are loosing the relations with Diaspora is wrong.
“Just on the contrary, we want to make the relations between Diaspora and government more effective. We have a certain model and proposal which supposes raising the level of relations and reaching consensus,” he said.
