Moscow urges Baku abandon policy of ethnic discrimination against Russian citizens of Armenian decent
Moscow hopes that Baku will abandon its policy of ethnic discrimination and particularly against citizens of Russia of Armenian decent and will not impede their entrance to Azerbaijan, Russian Foreign Ministry representative Maria Zakharova told the reporters today.
She draw the attention on few publications, including ones in the social websites, which reported that Azerbaijani authorities have adopted policy of ethnic discrimination against citizens of Russia.
“If to speak about statistics, we have learned that last year Azerbaijan has refused entrance of 16 Russian citizens because of their ethnic belonging,” she said.
“Besides, Russian citizens have been kept in airports for hours, after which were forcibly deported without any official explanations,” she said, adding that this is tough violation of rights of Russian citizens.
