Gazprom Armenia hopes to find effective solutions at negotiations with government to ensure secure gas supply to consumers
Gazprom Armenia expects to find solutions during the negotiations which will ensure reliable and secure gas supply to consumers, company’s representative told Aysor.am.
The official of the company said in a written response that they are not going to review the gas tariff for inner consumers after Russian Gazprom set the price $165 for 1,000 cubic meters.
Currently discussions are being held regarding the mentioned changes with the government-authorized body, regulating body, specialists, interested organizations.
“Gazprom Armenia hopes that as a result of the discussions solutions will be found which will ensure natural activity of the company and secure gas supply to consumers,” the response of the company says.
After lasting negotiations the Russian side raised gas price for Armenia from January 1, 2019 making it $165 for 1,000 cubic meters against former $150.
Armenia’s acting PM Nikol Pashinyan though stated that the gas tariff for consumers will remain unchanged.
