Working meeting on Sevan whitefish preservation held in Police

A working meeting took place in the Police with the participation of chief of the police Valeriy Osipyan, acting nature protection minister Erik Grigoryan, governor of Gegharkunik province Gnel Sanosyan, head of nature protection and mine inspection body Artur Grigoryan and other officials.

The participants of the consultation discussed the results of the special events conducted jointly in the lake during the whitefish spawning period from December 20.

Though the establishments are fighting against the hunt of the fish and its sale there are still a number of shortcomings in the process.

The participants attached significance to the closer cooperation among the bodies for solving the issues.

After the restoration of the whitefish population in the Lake, the issue of permitting fish hunting will be discussed.
