Newly elected NA chairman says expecting ratification of Armenia-EU Agreement by all EU member states in 2019 not realistic

The newly elected chairman of the Armenian National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan does not deny that this year it will not be succeeded to reach ratification of Armenia-EU Agreement by all the EU member states.

“I think it is not very realistic that all the EU member states will ratify Armenia-EU Agreement this year, but still there is an opportunity to do a good work and exert all possible efforts for reaching this goal,” he said.

The NA chairman did not exclude that the non-ratification by all the states may be agreed with the changes taken place in Armenia.

“And may be it will not be possible agreed with the circumstance that the parliament is just starting the implementation of its functions, with the new people involved in the process. If the parliament of 6th convocation continued its work this process would have passed more smoothly,” he said.
