Ex senior official Armen Gevorgyan urges court to examine case in an objective way
Ex senior state official Armen Gevorgyan has come up with a speech at the court, urging the court to examine the case in an unbiased and objective way, Gevorgyan told the reporters after court hearing today.
“I have delivered a statement at the court, presented all the circumstances which in my opinion testify the accusations being absolutely groundless and asked all to ensure unbiased and objective examination of the case for reaching final justice and all learn what happened and what they wanted from me,” the ex deputy PM said.
He said in today’s status he cannot unveil any other information about the case.
Asked whether he really made pressures on judge Valery Poghosyan, Gevorgyan asked, “Look at me, do I look like person to make pressures?”
Gevorgyan’s attorney Erik Alexanyan refused to unveil any details about today’s court hearing, saying that today’s hearing is over but the judge has not left for consultation room. The next hearing is set for January 25, at 4 p.m.
