New power plant with 250 MWt power to be built in Armenia
The Armenian government approved today the contract signed between the Armenian government, “Armpower” company and “Renko S.P.A”.
The contract will give the constructor an opportunity to start construction of new power plant with 250 MWt power near the thermo power plant of Yerevan ThPP. The plant will work with gas fuel in a combined cycle.
The construction will start immediately after summing up financial issues which will take place in two months.
About 250 million USD will be invested for the implementation of the project. The construction is to last 26 months and involve 1,000-1,200 people.
The exploitation of the plant will result in opening 200-230 high salary jobs.
The employees will also be sent to Germany to train in Siemens company and get necessary qualification.
