Parliament elected all candidates nominated to head NA standing committees
All the candidates nominated to head NA standing committees have been elected today, chairman of the NA calculating standing committee Vahagn Hovakimyan stated.
129 lawmakers participated in the voting.
As a result of voting Narek Zeynalyan has been elected chairman of Health and Social Affairs Standing Committee, with 112 for and 16 against votes.
Ruben Rubinyan has been elected chairman of Foreign Relations Standing Committee, he was backed by 117 MPs, other 12 voted against.
Mkhitar Hayrapetyan has been elected chairman of Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Affairs Standing Committee, with 116 for and 1 against votes.
Arman Yeghoyan has been elected chairman of the European Integration Affairs Standing Committee, he was backed by 108 MPs, other 17 voted against, four ballots have been recognized invalid.
Andranik Kocharyan has been elected chairman of Defense and Security Affairs Standing Committee, with 122 for and 4 against votes.
Vladimir Vardanyan has been elected chairman of State-Legal Affairs Standing Committee, he was backed by 122 MPs, other 6 voted against.
Varazdat Karapetyan has been elected chairman of Territorial Administration, Agriculture, Environment and Stable Development Standing Committee, he was backed by 127 MPs, other two voted against.
Babken Tunyan has been elected chairperson of the Economic Affairs Standing Committee, with 123 for and six against votes.
Naira Zohrabyan from PAP faction has been elected chairperson of Human Rights and Public Affairs Standing Committee with 127 for and 2 against votes.
Michael Melkumyan has been elected chairman of Territorial and Eurasian Integration Affairs Standing Committee with 122 for and six against votes.
Mane Tandilyan from Bright Armenia has been elected chairperson of Finance-Crediting and Budget Affairs Standing Committee with 116 for and 10 against votes.
With this the works of the first session of the NA are completed.
