Armenia’s second president to remain in jail for another two months
Yerevan court of general jurisdiction has upheld the petition of the investigator to prolong the arrest of Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan for another two months.
Member of Kocharyan's defense team Aram Orbelyan said they will comment on the court's decision after it is passed to them.
Orbelyan said the court has not examined the petition submitted by the defense side to release Kocharyan on bail.
"As of the moment it is not logical to submit another petition on releasing on bail as the court has already expressed its position over it. But after discussion with the team during the upcoming week we may possibly submit petition again," he said.
The defense team will apeal the decision of the court.
