State figure is not for polite lies or sweet toasts: Bagratyan on president’s statements in Abu Dhabi
Armenia’s former prime minister, ex MP Hrant Bagratyan responded to the statement of Armenia’s president Armen Sarkissian voiced in Abu Dhabi about water. The latter stated that in 20-50 years water will be more valuable than the oil.
“United Arab Emirates are rich in oil, but poor in water. We are rich, our national cup, the cup of our future is full,” Sarkissian said at the meeting with the local Armenian community.
In response Bagratyan wrote in Facebook that water can never be more expensive than oil.
“These two are incomparable. Water is a restoring resource while oil is not. There is a theory of resource, it is just necessary to read it. A state figure is not for polite lies or sweet toasts. There was “such” approach about 30 years ago. The result is zero,” Bagratyan wrote.
