Many MPs must learn to keep silence and not interfere into issues not relating to them: expert
The first working week of the parliament of the seventh convocation ended with the newly elected MPs having already managed to have a dispute, make wrong voting, wrong expressions and the most discussed making a quotation in old Armenian language.
Speaking to Aysor.am, political technologist Vigen Hakobyan said the new parliament has various layers.
“There are both experienced people, members of even parliament of 90s, people who were MPs during the NA of previous convocations and of course those who call them inexperienced but not tax robbers. This layer is in the ruling force,” he said, adding that the experienced ones have clear idea where they are, what they must say, when they should keep silence, in short they have political sense and experience.
“Those who do not have experience do not understand yet where they are and as far as their first issue is to show themselves at the very first sessions to be remembered they were trying to ask questions over different issues or express opinion and as original as possible. The issue is not their education, the issue is that they do not imagine well how they should behave, what they should speak,” the expert said.
Hakobyan said that each MP was trying to show his/her stronger side and ask question in that field to show his/her intellect. “Some were trying to put political elements in their speeches and the situation was almost turning into an international scandal like in case of statements about Iran,” he said, adding that as far as not all managed to show themselves such situations will repeat.
“But during the time, hopefully this time will come as soon as possible, some will learn to stay silent or express their opinion only over issues relating to them,” he said.
Hakobyan said that being young and inexperienced is not a flaw, it is a matter of time if a person really wants to become good specialist.
“Of course it is not good that many are to get their political experience already in the parliament, but I hope that the part of these inexperienced will get the necessary skills. The most important thing is while getting it not to harm the state,” the expert stressed.
