PAP to discuss structural changes in government after introduction of the bill: MP

The Prosperous Armenia party has not discussed the issue on changes in the structure of the government, PAP MP Gevorg Petrosyan told the reporters today.

“As far as the bill is not presented yet, we have not conducted a discussion, thus we do not have a decision over it yet,” he said.

He said he cannot express opinion on behalf of the faction, but his personal conviction is that the police and the NSS must not be separated from one another and give the management of one to the government and the management of the other to the parliament.

Speaking about the Diaspora and culture ministries, the MP said they have not discussed the issue yet but he believes that the culture has as significant role in the preservation of the Armenian people like the armed forces and the army.

“We do not know what mechanism the government sees for the implementation of its functions after dissolving it, that is why it will be a little to early to state that we are against the decision,” Petrosyan said.
