Pashinyan’s magic stick works in opposite direction: Sharmazanov on authorities’ promises

Spokesperson for the Republican party Eduard Sharmazanov referred to the claims of the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan that in the 4th trimester of 2018 the investments in Armenia grew by 50% as compared with the same span of 2017.

“Pashinyan said that we, the opponents, were criticizing him warning about the reduction of investments. Now I threw the ball directly to Pashinyan and his authorities. Will you stop juggling? How long are you going to manipulate? During your ruling the investments have reduced,” Sharmazanov wrote, saying that according to the information provided by the PM in the first trimester of 2018, when the Republicans were in power, the investments reached $94,2 million and in the fourth trimester they made just $75,5 million, which is $20 million less.

“The optimization, depriving the citizens of work and of daily bread is explained by Pashinyan’s authorities as efficiency of expenses. While for these authorities with ‘high spirits’ the cuts refer to Armenia’s citizens only and not representatives of power,” he wrote, stressing that all this is being done by the authorities who promised rapid development.

“It appears that the magic stick works in an opposite direction,” Sharmazanov stressed.
