Bright Armenia faction head applies to PM, offers to cut number of deputy governors
Bright Armenia faction head Edmon Marukyan applied to Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan offering to cut the number of deputy governors.
“I have applied to the PM regarding the number of deputy governors,” Marukyan wrote in Facebook, adding that after formation of political coalition in 2003 it has been decided to increase the number of deputy governors, and now instead of one deputy 2-3 deputies are working. Marukyan said that each of the deputies is being served on the account of community funds, has assistant, driver, service car, etc.
“In my opinion the increase of the number of deputy governors is not justified and their reduction will essentially save the state funds,” he wrote, adding that he offers to have just one deputy governor in each province.
