State Revenue Committee restores 10 billion AMD as a result of fight against corruption and shadow economy
Eight months have passed since the election of Nikol Pashinyan as Prime Minister of Armenia [May 8, 2018] and his statements about the elaborated fight against corruption, shadow economy. Aysor.am has tried to find out how much the State Revenue Committee managed to restore during the past eight months.
In response to Aysor.am inquiry, SRC press service reported that during the last eight months of 2018 the investigative department of the SRC restored 2 billion 034 million 650,2666 thousand AMD as a result of fight against corruption and shadow economy. The restored money has fully been entered into the state budget.
The SRC press service also reports that during the past eight months of 2018 7 billion 234 million 615,985 thousand AMD has been restored.
Asked whether the restored funds have been directed for the implementation of any project, the press service reported that the SRC does not posses any other information about restored budget entries.
The same inquiry has been sent to the PM’s staff, Ministry of Finance and State Control Service. The PM’s staff in accordance with the law on Freedom of Information asked for another additional 30 days for response. Finance Ministry representative informed Aysor.am that they are responsible for registering the revenue types of the budget entries.
