No transparency in conditions of transparency: political analyst on Pashinyan-Aliyev meeting
Political analyst Hayk Martirosyan referred to the meeting of Armenia’s PM Nikol Pashinyan with president of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Davos describing it as “unclear.”
“The reason of meeting with Aliyev is uncler. What does Armenia win from it? Why has not been it stated beforehand or why nothing is being said about the content of discussion? During the presidencies of Levon Ter-Petrosyan, Kocharyan and Sargsyan the causes of such secrecy were clear. Now these causes do not exist. Why there is no transparency in conditions of transparency? Why do the meetings intensified? What is the goal of the Armenian side?” he wrote.
Another thing the expert draw attention to is the style, the pose, the movements of the PM at the meeting with the head of the enemy state.
“Who are those responsible to hint Armenia’s leader how to move, to speak at the meeting with the leader of the enemy state, as it is of greatest significance and has real consequences,” he wrote, adding that for already decades the U.S. presidents are given instructions for hours before such like meetings, even rehearsals are being carried out.
The expert stressed that it is time to realize that the sitting pose of the PM at such meetings must be prevented and at least corrected.
