In authoritarian countries “pashinyans” do not appear in NA, moreover, they do not become PMs: Sharmazanov
The Azerbaijani delegates criticized PACE for giving positive assessment to the former authorities of Armenia, ex vice speaker of the parliament Eduard Sharmazanov wrote in Facebook.
“The Baku delegates qualified the former authorities as ‘criminal and anti-democratic’. As representative of the former authorities I want to say that we have never addressed “complements” to one another. People having normal thinking and analytical abilities understand what it may mean when Aliyev who stated that Yerevan is Azerbaijani “historic territory” and who started war in April 2016 against Artsakh suddenly becomes a ‘polite’ person for the Armenian PM in just few hours,” Sharmazanov wrote.
Sharmazanov hailed the response of the Armenian delegates to the anti-Armenian statements of the Azerbaijani delegates in the PACE at the same time asking why they were silent when Armenia’s PM Nikol Pashinyan was calling the former authorities “authoritarians” from the UN tribune few months ago.
“Why did not you make it clear for Pashinyan that while speaking from the international highest tribune it is necessary to consider each word and each comma, that it is not Republican square and the gathered are not naïve, frank, trustful people? Or you too thought that it is necessary to move forward the revolution at any price even by blows to the own state. Why did not you tell that in the authoritarian countries pashinyans do not appear in the NA and moreover never become Prime Ministers,” Sharmazanov wrote.
