One-hour long meeting hardly to be planned in Davos corridors: expert
Meetings between the Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders are aimed at opening new page in the peace talks and reaching new arrangements, head of the International and Security Affairs Armenian Institute Stepan Safaryan said at a news conference today, adding that he does not share the voiced conspiracy theories about the meetings.
“I do not know how early this meeting was planned, but I agree that a meeting that lasts for over an hour is not planned on foot in Davos corridors,” he said.
He stressed that for such like meeting agendas are prepared for states’ leaders.
“I suppose that it is a result of Mammadyarov-Mnatsakanyan meeting,” he said, adding that Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders have agreed over a number of issues discussed at the meeting of the FMs.
“If there was no agreement at least on the level of FMs, the meeting of the leaders of the two countries would not have taken place,” Safaryan said.
