Army took no part in domestic political developments: Artsakh NSC secretary warns SIS chief against confusing statements
The article on overthrowing constitutional order is a bit ridiculous, Artsakh’s Security Council secretary Vitaly Balasanyan said, speaking about charges against ex defense minister of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan.
“Will Nikol Pashinyan overthrow the constitutional order to stay a Prime Minister again, it is a little bit ridiculous. What does it mean they overthrew the constitutional order? Constitutional order will be overthrown by a force which is not on power, why should a person on power overthrow the constitutional order?” he asked.
Balasanyan said he does not understand the article.
“The army did not participate in domestic political issues, did you see troops which opened fire?” he asked.
In response then who opened fire from Cheryemukha, he said the interior troops.
“The army does not have such type of arms and never had, it is of interior forces, why do you mix everything?” the National Security Council secretary said.
To the observation that SIS head Sasun Khachatryan was saying that Tigran Abgaryan was killed to have grounds to declare emergency situation, Balasanyan said, “It is a shame, no one should tell such things,” he said, adding that those who tell such thing appear in very bad situation afterwards.
