Talks over Karabakh issue should be based on official document: Artsakh Security Council secretary

The talks over Artsakh must be held over official document, Artsakh Security Council secretary Vitaly Balasanyan told the reporters today.

“Those who say that people must be prepared for peace, I urge relevant institutions to prepare an agreement for the leaders of the countries to sign. If we do not have peace agreement, if we do not have the document recognized by the international community, how can we prepare people for peace?”

Vitaly Balasanyan said that they were always ready for peace and the war was imposed on them.

“We need a document for the people living in Azerbaijan, Armenians and Azerbaijanis living in Russia, people in Artsakh to know what it is being spoken about. Are there people who want war? Of course, there are not, but we need a document to get prepared for peace,” he stressed.

He said the oral talks will worsen the situation.

“Artsakh and the Armenians are not ready for any territorial concessions against anything. We have already done the concessions on time,” Balasanyan stressed.
