Monthly income of SRC chairman does not exceed 2,3 million AMD

Chairman of the State Revenue Committee Davit Ananyan gave detailed clarification to the issues of rewards, salaries at the My Step faction in NA. Ananyan was invited to the NA to give clarifications over the rewards’ issue which has raised wide resonance in public.

“I have answered to about 15-20 questions. It was a closed working discussion,” he said.

Asked whether the faction had an authority to call him to ask questions, the SRC chairman said it is not the issue of authority. “We say that we must report on our activities and now our collegues have invited me and I have come and the discussion took place,” he said, adding that he would have come in case of opposition’s invitation too.

As to whether he managed to ground his arguments about rewards, Ananyan said there was no such issue.

“There was an issue of clarification. I am not going to say whether they are satisfied or not. I have answered the questions and I am satisfied with myself. Everything was done in accordance with law. There is no 9 million reward, 8 million reward, 7 or 6 million reward. We are working with our lawyers how to publicize this information without violating right of privacy of the people,” he said.

Ananyan stressed that the lawmakers too were speaking about the necessity of changing the legislation to make public-state official ties more transparent.

Ananyan also noted that he has published the declaration of his annual income.

“The 23 million AMD consists of – 4,8 million from Finance Ministry, 18,5 million from SRC. The first I received for 4.5 months, the second for 7.5 months. There is no 8 million. If to divide to 7, we will get about 2.3 million AMD. My monthly income does not exceed 2.3 million with the salary, additional payment, rewards. The annual amount of my rewards for 8 months from SRC makes 14 million,” Ananyan said.
