Armenia, Artsakh to probably sign military-political cooperation agreement soon: Artsakh MP
The necessity of formation of military-political alliance between Armenia and Artsakh has always been stressed, especially at almost every elections in Artsakh, Karabakh lawmaker, chairman of National Revival party Hayk Khanumyan said, speaking to Aysor.am.
“At the 2012 presidential elections when Vitaly Balsanyan was an opposition candidate, he many times talked about it, and he continues speaking about it now too,” Khanumyan said.
ARF-D Bureau chairman Armen Rustamyan stressed the necessity of working out a roadmap and sign the necessary document.
“The ARF-D has on its agenda the agreement on military-political alliance, and I think that yes, there are many issues demanding contractual solutions between Armenia and Artsakh. There are many issues that need to be solved but there is a lack of legal field. They refer both the crimes in the army and other issues,” Khanumyan said.
He said what the ARF-D representatives are speaking today is on the political agenda of Artsakh long ago.
He stressed that works must be undertaken to form military-political alliance.
“The process greatly depends on the political will of the Armenian authorities,” the MP said.
“The fact that the Republic of Armenia is the security guarantor of Artsakh and its people must be registered not only by RA’s military doctrine but get a legal formulation too,” he said, adding that the day when Armenia and Artsakh will sign military-political cooperation agreement will come soon.
