Current processes may result in return of Karabakh to table of negotiations: Bright Armenia MP
Aysor.am has conducted interview with the lawmaker from Bright Armenia faction Karen Simonyan over the tempos of Armenia-EU Agreement ratification, Armenia-Russia relations, Pashinyan-Aliyev meetings and prospects of bringing Artsakh back to the table of negotiations.
Speaking about Armenia-Russia relations, the MP said that there are no concerns over them. “There are opportunities to develop the relations more both in economic and political fields. There are no concerns, and I think in any case even if a shadow falls on the relations, it is very easy to correct it without any issues,” Simonyan said.
Referring to Pashinyan-Aliyev meetings, Simonyan noted that in some cases the unveiling of the discussions is not right and stressed that even informal contacts between the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan help to avoid escalation of the conflict.
As to the possibility of return of Karabakh to the table of negotiations, Simonyan said that the processes taking place now may result in return of Karabakh to the table of negotiations for it to be able to raise its voice, though, the MP stressed that as of the moment Minsk Group, as a mediator, manages to fully ensure the peace process.
