Arrangements reached with Gazprom Armenia in force: deputy PM on gas price for consumers
All the arrangements presented earlier are in force, Armenia’s deputy PM Tigran Avinyan said speaking to reporters today, referring to the arrangements reached with Gazprom Armenia over gas price.
“All the arrangements we have talked about are in force,” he said.
Asked on what account Gazprom Armenia will subsidize the gas tariff during a year for the tariff to stay unchanged for the consumers, Avinyan said there are different components on the basis of which the gas price is formed.
“On the account of these components and optimizations, on the account of review of losses. I think we will find the concrete sectors where optimization is possible,” the deputy PM said.
Asked about concerns that from the middle of the year Gazprom Armenia will state that it cannot subsidize anymore and the price for gas will go up for consumers, Avinyan said, “The negotiations are in process. It will be clear during them,” he said, adding that the people will be informed about the developments.
