Russia works on opening new transit corridor for Armenian products: Grigory Karasin
The implementation of 2011 Russian-Georgian agreement on customs regulation will allow opening another transit corridor for Armenian products, Russian deputy foreign minister Grigory Karasin told the reporters in Yerevan today.
“We are planning to carry out our commitments. The first meeting of trilateral committee with the participation of representatives of Switzerland, Georgia and Russia will be very important. It will take place in February in Geneva,” Karasin said.
At the same time he said that there are a number of issues in the region, disputes over political status of a number of states like the issue of North Ossetia through which this corridor is to pass.
“It is a very sensitive issue, we will discuss it,” Karasin said.
